Alastair Mackay
Founder & Managing Director
Founder, Managing Director and owner of Ogenus Offshore, with over 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He has led recruitment, manning, and crewing projects, with strong skills in business development and talent acquisition.
Tunisian professional based in Greece since 2017. Graduate of Civilization Studies, University of Paderborn. Transitioned from recruitment to Business Growth, with focus on visibility, client relations, and customer success. Trilingual in English, French, and Arabic.
Graduate of the Department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus. Started his career at a Ship Management company and has since worked in the maritime sector. Has excellent computer skills and speaks English fluently.
Graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos as a Second Officer. Worked on ferries and container vessels, then on LNG vessels. Later joined the crew department of a tug company. Now Operations Coordinator at Ogenus Offshore.
Graduate of Panteion University. Studied Law at La Rochelle via Erasmus+. Interned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a startup. Worked at Ethniki Insurance. At Ogenus Offshore since 2022, now Senior Recruitment Consultant.
Graduate of the Department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus. Completed Erasmus+ internship in Munich in HR and recruiting. Worked in the shipping industry. Recruitment Consultant at Ogenus Offshore for 1 year and 9 months.
Holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Experienced Recruitment Consultant in the marine sector with a focus on international talent acquisition. Worked globally as an HR Project Manager.
Graduate of National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Economics. Holds a Master’s degree in Applied Accounting and Auditing. Certified Class A’ Accountant with good computer skills and attention to detail.
Graduate of NESCOL in Childcare & Beauty Therapy. Worked in various administrative and retail roles. Joined Ogenus 2.5 years ago as Admin Assistant and promoted to Company Administrator. Skilled in Microsoft and IT tools.
Graduate of Applied Psychology, Glasgow Caledonian University. Began his career in recruitment, with experience in crewing, HR, and tech hiring, and a focus on offshore and energy sectors. Passionate about people, psychology, and purposeful careers.
